This year's Christmas is very different for everyone in our part of the country. Having been put into "Tier 4", any plans we'd made to see family have to be cancelled.
Wonderfully, we are allowed to sing carols together provided we're in the open air and it's part of a church service. Having not been able to sing together in church since March, it's so good to be able to sing, especially when we have such joyful and wonderful news to praise God for.
With huge thanks to everyone who made this possible, and especially to our wonderful friends and partners at Oak Hall, we were able to hold an open air carol service at Otford Manor on Sunday afternoon.
We had about 200 people present, from 10 weeks old up to those in their mid 80s, on a covid-secure venue. The sun shone, as we sang, listened, prayed and rejoiced together. Families with younger children enjoyed the fact there was space at one side for little ones to let off steam.
