Guides, Brownies and Rainbows with their new flags

Our Church Hall Fire affected many groups within the village who used to use it on a regular basis. These included the Guides (including their Senior Section), the two Brownie units, and the Rainbows. All have found temporary places to meet, until our new hall is built, but it has been a big disruption for them.

One sad detail is that all these units stored their colours flags in the old church hall, and so all of these flags were lost in the fire.

At the 10.30 All Age Service yesterday, we welcomed all of these units into church for a parade service, and during the service we dedicated their new flags. We welcomed the Guiding County Commissioner, and some representatives from the Sevenoaks Soroptimists who had sponsored the new flags. It was a happy, upbeat occasion, with a church full of our regular adults and children, the Guides Brownies and Rainbows, and many of their parents and friends.
