The good news of Jesus,

for Everyone

We believe that Jesus offers us life to the full, right here and now! We are empowered by the same Spirit who raised Jesus from death, as we seek to know, love and follow Jesus. The good news of Jesus is too good to keep to ourselves - and Jesus has instructed us to share our faith with other people. This good news is for everyone - no exceptions - yes, you too!

I’d like to know more about Christianity

What’s the Christian faith all about? We run short in-person courses to allow people to investigate the Christian faith. These are also a lovely way to get to know other people in the church in an informal setting, where there’s no such thing as a ‘silly question’ – questions are great!

We have recently run Hope Explored, three sessions exploring the Hope, Peace and Purpose we find uniquely in Jesus. Please get in touch to find out what courses are upcoming.

There’s no time like now to explore for yourself, we’d love to welcome you on a Sunday to do that together.

Additionally, a very good starting point which you can begin at any time, and at a pace to suit you is 321 Course | Free Introduction to Christianity.

We believe we should share that good news of Jesus, equip people in their faith journey and see them live their faith out in the world.

We believe in the Christian faith expressed through the creeds - authorised statements of faith which have been handed down through the centuries, just as true today.

Our faith is perhaps best summed up in the Nicene Creed, which we gladly affirm:

“We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate from the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.

Amen.”
