Usually at 9.30am on a Sunday morning, we hold a service we call Sung Communion.
This is a service taken from the Church of England's modern English prayer book, Common Worship, and it lasts just under an hour.
The service usually includes 4 or 5 traditional hymns (music is played on the organ, with the singing led by our robed choir), 2 readings from the Bible, a 10-minute sermon, some prayers of intercession, and a sharing of bread and wine together (often singing parts of the Communion liturgy). Most weeks, coffee is served afterwards.
Children are welcome at this service. There are no separate children's groups, but instead children sit with their parents where they can see and take part. There is a worksheet available each week, based on the Bible readings for the day.
