Once a month, the Kemsing evening service meets in the Church Hall, is informal in style, but the exact format of the service varies.

Here are some of the kinds of service we've had over the past year:

• Taize Praise: We've sung some chants from the Taize community in France, interspersed with periods of silence, times of open prayer, and readings from Scripture.
• Songs of Praise: Often with a short talk to inspire us to praise God, or a reflection on one of the Psalms, these services are a chance for people to choose their own favourites from some of our hymn books, and we sing people's personal requests together.
• Digging Deeper: A chance for a more in-depth look at the Bible's teaching on some topic or other. Recent services have dug deeper into the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, and have asked what exactly we mean when we say that the Bible "is the word of God".
• Speaker Service: We sometimes have a visiting speaker to talk to us about a subject for which they are especially qualified to speak. We aim to become better informed so that we can pray and serve God in the world.
